A New Incubation Model Dedicated to Digital Professions
Considering the impact of the digital economy and building on its incubation experience since 2015, the Foundation initiated the IDS to give young entrepreneurs access to new opportunities for socio-economic inclusion via the digital skills.
With a total incubation capacity of 100 VSEs and 50 young people in training, the IDS aims to support the creation and development of digital economic initiatives, while offering a complete training program in technical capacities (digital), entrepreneurial (business management) and soft skills.
A Wide Range Of Services For The Support And Development Of Initiatives
With regional influence, the IDS provides young people with a modern collaborative work and training environment, fully equipped with technical tools and soft skills platforms made available in particular by the OFPPT and GIZ.
Built on two levels, it provides access to a physical incubation space divided into four zones, to technical infrastructures (data center and technical premises), to a FabLab / DigiLab for prototyping, testing and exhibition, to a coding school, meeting rooms, phone boxes as well as friendly spaces in addition to a cafeteria.
These services are complemented by business services, entertainment and networking as well as support for digital transformation.
Conditions of Access to the IDS
For the first year of activity, the IDS recruited 40 VSEs implementing projects in the fields of digital marketing, e-commerce, web and mobile development, digital platforms, audiovisual and IOT (connected objects), as well as 50 young people in certified training: 25 in Digital Marketing and 25 in coding at the dedicated integrated school. These young project leaders are aged between 18 and 40, from disadvantaged backgrounds and have technical mastery of the idea of their projects. They were recruited on the basis of application files collected on the center's web portal www.ids.org.ma, and selected by technical commissions which validated the applications following pitches by the candidates.
Forty incubated VSEs will benefit from 12 to 18 months of support, and 50 others will benefit from certifying training lasting 6 to 12 months.
The young people will be supervised by a technical team of eight managers, in charge of each aspect of support and training.
